Alex Jones Keeps Infowars for Now; Judge Rejects Onion Buyout
A federal judge in Texas rejected the auction sale of Alex Jones’ Infowars to the Onion satirical news outlet, criticizing the bidding for the conspiracy theory platform as flawed as well as how much money families of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting stood to receive. The decision late Tuesday night is a victory for Jones, whose Infowars site was put up for sale as part of his bankruptcy case in the wake of the nearly $1.5 billion that courts have ordered him to pay over falsely calling one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history a hoax. Families of the Sandy Hook victims had backed The Onion’s bid. Read More Here! Also, from USA Today! NEW YORK — A U.S. judge on Tuesday stopped parody news site The Onion from buying conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars website, ruling that a bankruptcy auction did not result in the best possible bids. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez rejected Jones’ claims that the auction was plagued by “collusion,” at the end of a two-day hearing in Houston. But he said the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee who ran the auction made “a good-faith error” by quickly asking for final offers for Infowars instead of encouraging more back-and-forth bidding between the Onion and a company affiliated with Jones’ supplement-selling businesses, which was the runner-up. “This should have been opened back up, and it should have been opened back up for everybody,” Lopez said. “It’s clear the trustee left the potential for a lot of money on the table.” Read More…

Trump Energy Secretary Pick: Global Warming Can Be ‘Positive’
President-elect Donald Trump’s Energy Secretary nominee Chris Wright is not a climate change denier as much as he is a global warming optimist. “It’s probably almost as many positive changes as there are negative changes,” Wright told PragerU last year, The Wall Street Journal reported. “Is it a crisis, is it the world’s greatest challenge, or a big threat to the next generation? No.” The Liberty Energy fracking CEO is breaking from even oil executives warning about the effects of global warming and climate change. Could the Shroud of Turin Be The Actual Burial Cloth of Jesus Christ? A Look At The Evidence!
The Shroud of Turin, a linen cloth bearing the image of a man who appears to have been crucified, has been subjected to numerous scientific studies over the years. It’s a linen cloth that many believe is the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. The shroud is 14 ft long by 3.5 ft wide and shows an image of a man who was scourged, crowned with thorns, crucified, and pierced in the chest. One important point is no, a crown of thorns was not a typical part of a crucifixion. The Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and John all mention that Roman soldiers placed a crown of thorns on Jesus’ head before crucifying him, but this was done to mock him. Here are some of the earlier studies: Early Studies: 1898 Photography: The first significant scientific examination occurred when Secondo Pia took photographs of the Shroud. The resulting images revealed a negative image, showing a detailed human figure with wounds consistent with crucifixion. This sparked widespread interest and initiated a series of scientific investigations.
