For entrepreneurs, securing venture capital is already a steep climb—endless pitches, rejections, and the elusive search for the right investor. But for me, a conservative white male entrepreneur in Chicago with a potentially game-changing microchip patent, the journey has been a gauntlet of systemic roadblocks, political biases, and outright frustration. I have been working on this in 10/09/2010 when I filed my patent application for “THE SUPER INTEGRATED CIRCUIT CHIP SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE” & ever since then I feel like the government both local & federal, Silicon Valley & a variety of business partners & family members have had it out for me!!!

Years ago, I felt the sting of Barack Obama’s administration firsthand. His IRS audit of various conservatives, including me, drained my resources and morale, while Michelle K. Lee, then Director of the U.S. Patent Office & Penny Pritzker Obama’s Commerce Secretary, seemed to fight me at every turn. The four years process to get the patent approved made my life so crazy & disrupted that my finance & her daughter, who I taught to code & produce our first video game for Chicago Pixels “The World of Raeth!”, left me!!! And after that I lost my apartment & belongings because I had to try to work temporary jobs to make ends me & basically had a nervous break down & mental health crisis due to all the stress from the patent office & mental health facilities closing down from Rahm Emanuel!! The America Invents Act, touted as a boon for innovators, did little to ease my path. Instead, patent brokers I hired to license or sell my invention—to universities, NASA, GE, and various incubators—hit dead end after dead end. I couldn’t shake the feeling that my identity as a conservative white male in a progressive stronghold like Chicago branded me as an outsider, unworthy of support. I gained three allies in 2016 or so I thought! My first partner/Ally was Richard Blazey from Intelligent Technology Trifecta and he was big help! You can see at list of Richard Blazey‘s accomplishments & career here! He was a Eastman Kodak Company Inventor, Engineer & Patent writer!
Unfortunately, even though we presented to GE, every Ivy League school, Ozark IC, ASIC North, NASA & Texas Instruments! We could never get a venture capitalist involved or any investors! You really have wonder why!!! Unfortunately, on June 1, 2019 Richard Blazey left this world!!! Now, my other two allies/business partners are not as forth coming as I thought or would like !!! They promise venture capital & patent maintenance fees & never produce, they ghost me when they say they will contact me & have thousands of excuses for everything they never do!!! I won’t name them here or not at least until I give them one last chance!!! But, I do think they have sold some secrets to China, good thing I didn’t tell them everything!!! I did at least get a quote on a prototype manufacturing cost from ASIC North, the process for NASA patent licensing & a Project Proposal from Ozark IC!!! Again, they poopooed the idea and said it couldn’t be done but, they didn’t have all the info!!! The only other advocate I had was Steve Jobs! And we began sending a few emails back & forth after ABC’s World News Tonight aired a segment that claimed “Steve Jobs Personally Replies To Emails!” Here is a article stating this FACT! It was just a few one to two line emails to my Comcast email, unfortunately within a year of our email exchange a strange & other worldly coincidence occurred & he died on my birthday October 5, 2011!!! Local leadership didn’t help either. Under Governor Pat Quinn and Mayor Rahm Emanuel, physical and mental health clinics I relied on for well-being were shuttered, leaving me without a safety net as I battled to keep my dream alive. Fast forward to today, and the pattern persists. Governor J.B. Pritzker, tied to his family’s venture capital empire, won’t respond—perhaps assuming I’m too conservative for his taste. Mayor Brandon Johnson seems to prioritize other demographics, and even President Donald Trump, despite his “Make America Great Again” rhetoric, has been silent.
The tech giants Trump champions? No better. NVIDIA rejected me from their incubator, Microsoft ignores my emails, and TSMC and Samsung won’t engage. Even a glimmer of hope from Supernova, a French venture capitalist, fizzled into nothing—silence after they got a whiff of my idea. It’s a recurring theme: share your vision, and suddenly you’re expendable. The funniest thing is I am trying to bring thousands of jobs to Chicago! You think that would be celebrated & welcomed!! Jobs for the disabled, veterans, seniors, scientist, engineers, coders, social media influencers!!! Many could work remotely!!! Especially, coders, social media influencers, EDA tool developers, etc..!!! You would think that since I am disabled my self that I would get some kind of help but, I guess cause I am white & conservative I don’t count!!! I literally live on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid & SNAP! I am trying to break free of those binds but, I guess they like keeping you poor!! It reminds of of how Larry Elder, Thomas Sowell, Lawrence Jones & Ginao Caldwell are not tolerated by the left even though they are African American???
Meanwhile, billions are pouring into U.S. tech—$500 billion pledged by Softbank, Meta, Apple, Amazon, OpenAI, Larry Ellison, and others. The CHIPS Act, the America Invents Act, and Chicago’s 1871 tech incubator promise opportunity, but I can’t snag a single penny. My microchip could disrupt the industry, and maybe that’s the problem. I’m not an Ivy League grad or a DEI poster child fitting the status quo mold Chicago loves to uphold. I’m just a poor white guy from the city, threatening to upend the game.
Even my business partners push back, wary of the upheaval my invention might bring. Both parties—Democrats and Republicans—seem content to leave me in the cold. It’s exhausting, infuriating, and enough to make anyone question the American Dream! It feels like yelling into the wind sometimes!!! That last thing I did was submit to SoftBank & personally asked Donald Trump to intervene!! We will see were these people really stand now!!! Before GOD! I will say what I always say! The famous line from one my favorite shows! The X-Files!!!
