PORTAGE PARK — In the latest Godzilla comic book, the King of the Monsters descends upon Chicago and hits all the classic spots, literally.

The Blue Line, Lollapalooza and Indiana all take a beating in “Godzilla Vs. Chicago,” while Soldier Field and Cottage Grove Heights face some near misses.

The comic — released Wednesday as the first installment of IDW Publishing’s “Godzilla Vs. America” series — features four stories from Tim Seeley, Ryan Browne, Ezra C. Daniels, Caroline Cash and Mike Costa. For each comic in the Godzilla Vs. America series, IDW sought out artists local to the city being featured, Seeley said. Godzilla will take on Los Angeles next.

The Seventh Corner Gallery, which Seeley co-founded with four other local artists in 2021, is hosting a Godzilla Vs. Chicago art show celebrating the comic’s release on Friday. The gallery, located in the back of Howling Pages Comics in Portage Park, invited local artists to create works inspired by Godzilla and Chicago. The free show will feature 19 artists.

“We get to celebrate Chicago and Godzilla, that’s too perfect not to do,” Seeley said. Read More At  Block Club Chicago

  1. You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something which I feel I would never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely huge for me. I am taking a look forward on your next submit, I¦ll try to get the hang of it!
