Propane exploded & Child abducted
Chicago police are investigating after a woman allegedly entered a backyard and tried to abduct a young child over the weekend.
According to authorities, the child was playing with other kids in a backyard in the first block of North Lockwood Avenue at approximately 2:15 p.m. Sunday when a woman entered the backyard and picked her up.
The victim was brought to a grocery store across the street, where her alleged kidnapper was confronted by one of the child’s relatives. She was then returned to her mother a short time later.
The suspect is described as being between the ages of 20-to-25 years old, and frequents the area near the intersection of Lockwood Avenue and Madison Street, according to Chicago police.

Leaking propane tank inside truck causes explosion, damages homes in suburbs
A box truck carrying a leaking propane tank exploded in the western suburb of Addison Saturday morning.
Video shows the moment the truck, driving down Wood Dale Road, exploded in the street. The footage was captured on a surveillance camera from a nearby home.
The Addison Police Department responded to the scene in the 300 block of North Wood Dale Road and the explosion led to Wood Dale Road north of Lake Street closing down.
According to authorities, a few homes in the area were damaged, and one home was evacuated due to structural damage. Car windshields also appeared shattered.
Police said the explosion left a scene of debris from Oak Street to Overkamp Avenue.
